Grammaire: la voie passive
Dans ce texte, on trouve beaucoup de passif.
La voie passive c'est l'opposé de la voie active.
Actif: the subject of the sentence does the action
Passif: the subject of the sentence has something done to it (it does not do the action, it is passive).
--> exemple: l'enfant adopte le chat (actif)
le chat est adopté par l'enfant (passif) --> the cat (subject of the sentence) doesn't do the action, the action is done to the cat =the cat is adopted by the child.
in the past: Gustave Eiffel a construit la Tour Eiffel (actif)
--> la Tour Eiffel a été construite par Gustave Eiffel (passif) = the ET was built by GE.
