Here: the famous TGV, the high speed train. It's really fast and amazing... Every country needs bullet trains!
(a blue house -La Maison Bleue is also the title of a famous French song of the 70's about San Francisco.)

C'est la Joconde de Marcel Duchamp!
In France, we call the painting by Leonard de Vinci "La Joconde". (Mona Lisa refers to the model.)
The painting you are seeing is actually Marcel Duchamp's take on La Joconde.

C'est une touriste à Paris.

C'est la célèbre écrivaine (famous writer) et artiste Colette (here dressed for a stage performance: Rêve d'Egypte -Dream of Egypt).
Before becoming a respectable old lady of the Académie française, she was a bold, adventurous (and sometimes scandalous) character!

C'est Langston Hughes, un Américain à Paris!
C'est Jeanne d'Arc.
III Comment c'est? (How is it?)
1 - Comment c'est ?
Paris, l'hiver, c'est beau, c'est froid.
(It's beautiful, it's cold)

BTW this ad is really sleazy (click on the image to see it bigger).
